This rare photo of the old Washington Fire Company was taken in 1924. The photo was taken from a side yard located on West Hector Street. Of course back in 1924 you had trolley cars running through the borough and 15 hotels! 15 hotels!

This fire house was active for over 100 years before moving to the “new headquarters” on the same property.

Washies was chartered back in 1874 with 40 members ( I think Mr. Peaches is the only one left…)
