Then and Now Hector Street

Earlier this week a friend to our Facebook page Conshystuff shared an old photo. His name is Gene Sheridan Jr., he shared a photo from his mom’s collection, she had labeled it “Oswald Moser in front of Moser’s Garage on East First Ave. near the Moose Club” They had figured this great old photo was from the 40’s and here it is.

We went to find this building and quickly realized it was not on East First Ave. as noted on the photo, but actually on the 300 block of Hector Street, still standing all these years later. No gas pump… but the surrounding buildings still stand to help identify it. Here is is today. Thanks Gene for peaking our interest, and providing some info on the person in the photo who I believe you said was your uncle. We can’t thank you enough.
