Remembering an Old Friend – Mike Grzywacz
by Brian Coll
About a month ago I heard the news of an old friend passing away. I hadn’t seen him a lot the past few years as he moved away recently. When I think of Mike, I always think of his wife Nora. At this point they are together again but boy it would be nice to hear her laugh here in Conshohocken. My earliest memories of Mike were probably from when Tillies was open here in Conshohocken (well technically Whitemarsh). Tillie and her sister Nora always seemed to hold court at one end of the bar and it was around this time I got to know Mike. He was a very nice guy, he was a little quiet, but around Tillie and Nora he probably couldn’t get a word in….. I always enjoyed my time with him and for a few years he and Nora would help with the Car Show that Mayor Frost put together. I’m going to share the official obituary, and if you have any memories of Mike, feel free to put them in the comments on our Facebook post. I’m sure his family would like to hear them.
