We have close to 10,000 people in our borough, add in the residents of West Conshohocken, Plymouth, Whitemarsh and Lafayette Hill and we have a large community. Some of the people that will be featured will be well known in the area, some will have just moved into the area, some will have been here their entire lives. Some of them may be business owners, or people who walk around the area, or maybe work in the area. Maybe you know them, maybe you don’t. Everyone has a story. While we are only going to take their picture and maybe ask a question or two, we want to share these stories with you.

I’ve seen this dude around Conshy for a bit now and recently he started popping into my shop. A few months ago I found out he does a comedy night up at Brunch. While I haven’t got there yet in person to see a show, it has mostly been improve with a few folks from the area. John and Daniella from Brunch are fantastic and they have told me how fun the events are. They call it Brunch After Dark. So, getting back to “Pops”.. I caught him wandering around the Funfest this past Saturday and thought… it’s time to do a People of Conshohocken with him.
So, Pops… how long have you been living here in Conshy?
I’ve been here about 9 years now, love living here, we’re right by the CBC club and can walk everywhere.
I know you do these shows up at Brunch, tell me about them.
This will be the 6th or 7th show at Brunch. So far it has been sketch comedy but we’re doing a full standup show this Wednesday. It’s kind of cool, we have 12 stand ups for 12 bucks. It starts at 7.
I seem to always ask people, what’s your favorite Conshohocken memory.
Soap Box Derby… speaks hometown, the fireworks on the 3rd of July. When I first moved here, I took it all in….. so Americana.
So, what else do you do besides the comedy shows?
Well, I’m retired. I turned to improve and writing since retirement. I’ve been involved in Philly’s funniest for the past 2 years and I have performed in the area, up into New York and down to Maryland.
What’s your favorite place besides Brunch?
It’s crazy, I love the Pub rooftop deck. Now’s a perfect time up there to watch September/October Baseball. Watching baseball on the roof is amazing. Everywhere in Conshy is great though.
Thanks Pop…. see you around Conshy.
