Conshohocken Vineyard Church Hosting Service, Lunch and Kickball at Sutcliffe Park 8/18/2019

I got to talk to a friend Rich Andrews who has done some great things in the community, with his family and through the work of his church Conshohocken Vineyard Church. Tomorrow they are having a really cool service at Sutcliffe Park. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, if you are sticking around for the kickball game and lunch bring a side dish to share with everyone. This is a really great organization, wonderful people and this is going to sound a little strange, fun. Yes, it is a fun group of people. For those of you, like me who were brought up in the traditional Roman Catholic Church that feels very structured and straight forward, I appreciate hearing a similar message, but a slightly different way if that makes any sense when I am around Rich and the Conshohocken Vineyard Church community. Tomorrow might be a perfect time to check them out, get to know some other people in the community and stick around for lunch and some fun.
So, Rich, tell us what you have going on tomorrow at Sutcliffe Park and why.
Coming into celebrating our 5 year anniversary as a church on Sept 1, we felt it would be a fun idea to have our final service of our 5 year run outside at Sutcliffe park. We’ve done a couple services there before for past Memorial Days and it’s been a great experience.
Hosting a service in the park also helps us feel more connected to the community and rub shoulders with folks hanging out in Conshohocken. All are welcome and invited to the service, lunch, and kickball.
The service will include a band playing a few worship songs for people to listen to or sing a long with, I’ll share a short message from Psalm 23, and we’ll take communion. We’ll also offer prayer for anyone interested. Should last about 45 mins.
Here’s the Facebook link to the event
This Sunday, August 18, CVC will host our Sunday service in Sutcliffe Park at 800 Colwell Lane in Conshohocken from 10:30am-11:30am, followed by a free lunch from Mission BBQ and our annual (rescheduled) kickball game. CVC will provide the food, drinks, and the kickball. Just bring your kicks, a chair, and if you like, a side dish to share.”
It would be great if you could make it out!
Now, tell us where to look for you tomorrow.
We are meeting at the pavilion right by the playground.
Perfect, thanks so much. Hopefully we’ll see you and half of Conshohocken there tomorrow!
