Hello,
We started Conshystuff back in 2013 on the heels of our family completing a book in 2012 where we took at least a photo a day in our community. We consider our community to be Conshohocken, West Conshohocken, Plymouth, Whitemarsh and Lafayette Hill. While we don’t get to every event, our communities are there for each other in time of need.
While 2013 doesn’t seem that long ago, we have covered so many wonderful events, business openings and closings, personal accomplishments, we have brought a much needed food drive to our community where we have brought in over 100,000 pounds of food over the past few years with our communities help.
Going forward we hope to continue to bring you all the things that Conshystuff has been doing, People of Conshohocken, a unique historical view of our borough and beyond. Occasionally we have to share some bad news, we don’t like doing it, but it is part life. We will try to alert you to events taking place in the area. (As of today we started a new Facebook group called Conshystuff Events. Please feel free to post events there so that other people in the community may see them)
One of our biggest assets is our continued involvement in the community ourselves. I am Brian Coll, I have been involved with so many events and organizations in and around the borough. including but not limited to the Conshohocken Free Library, the Colonial Neighborhood Council, the Conshohocken Funfest, The Conshohocken Mayor’s Special Events under mayor Bob Frost which created the Carshow, ran the Halloween Parade along with other events in Conshohocken. My dad Jack who writes some great historical articles for Conshystuff has been involved in Conshohocken Little League, the Conshohocken Fellowship House, the building of monuments, creating documentaries on the borough in addition to writing about a dozen historical books on our community. My sister Jackie Coll has helped with the website and Facebook page since day 1 in addition to her full time job, and has been involved in multiple events and causes throughout the borough and community and none of this would be possible without my mom Donna Coll.
We do have some sponsors, please check them out. Before I mention any of them by name, I have to start with Josh and the amazing crew at Knucklehead Productions who designed and manage our new and improved website. https://knuckleheadproductions.com/
If you are thinking about a new website or a way to get your name or brand out there call them. Josh is great and he has some very talented designers working with him.
In no particular order, here are some local people and businesses who thought what we are doing here at Conshystuff is worthwhile and cool and wanted to help spread some of the costs of creating and running a website. Noele Stinson, Mike Sroka, Paul Mazzochetti. Ernie Facchine. These people are all realtors in the area. All of them help out with the food drive, they all help out when I ask them for a few bucks to help some family in need. They know our area if you are thinking of buying or selling. Look them up, give them a call. A few restaurants that we are so lucky to have here including the Great American Pub, The Boathouse and Below Deck Bottle Shop, the Fayette Street Grille. Some services in the community including Good Shepard Penn Partners (Conshohocken Physical Therapy) First Place Painting, RETS Builders, Matt Siletta Plumbing, Masciantonio Heating and Air Conditioning, Dominic Coccia Accounting, RCS Building Services, Jeffrey Grogan Architects. Need a hardscaping project around your home, call Dave Bonza with Bonza Landscaping. Need your car towed or serviced? Call Bowe’s Exxon. Need a couple things to keep your party goers happy? How about tomato pie from the Conshohocken Italian Bakery or a treat from Edwards-Freeman Nut Company. If you are thinking about what to do on these hot summer days? Join the Plymouth Swim Club, it’s great there. bring your own food and drinks. Thinking about buying a car, talk to my man Bryan Collins. If you are thinking about getting married, go see Joe Bucci at Bucci Jewelers.
These people and places don’t ask a lot from us, we felt the need to mention everyone though, go check them or if you need something they offer.
What makes us different? We have the largest collection of photos in the community involving the community and we are happy to share them here. We live and work here, we love it here. Long before a business organization used it as a logo, we love Conshy. If you need something from us at Conshystuff… stop by Coll’s Custom Framing. E-mail us at [email protected] . Say hi to us when you see us shopping in the community or walking around Fayette Street, checking out a concert in the park. If you have an idea for a story reach out to us.
As always, thanks for checking us out. Let’s hope we can keep bringing you the good stuff around our community.
