We Can’t Wait for The Artist’s Loft to Re-Open
3/2/2020

First off, we feel horrible that the young man who operates this small business has been out of his location for 9 months now. Matt is looking forward to re-opening here, he’s doing everything he can, but he’s in a waiting process as there are things beyond his control keeping him from opening.
The reason I bring this up, is we need to keep supporting our local shops. In the past couple of years, we have seen XTRA 101 Boutique open, Sanctuary Blu open and the Artist’s Loft open. That is 3 small retail shops, all on or right off Fayette Street. If you need a gift for someone, or something for yourself, maybe pop your head into one of these neat little shops. These are hardworking people, who have invested in our borough. In every conversation we have about Conshohocken, people tell us they wish there were more small shops, well here is three of them within a couple of blocks of one another, all recently opened. Let’s keep them open. I was really sad to see River Bend Cycles close. I would hate to see places like these go out of business.
At this point, it would have been easy for Matt to say, you know what, time to look elsewhere to re-open, but in a recent conversation with him, he reminded me how much he loves having the shop here, close to other shops and businesses and he’s really looking forward to re-opening here.
Matt, see you when the place is ready to open…. at this point it is looking like in the second half of 2020.
