Steelers Beat Norristown
The Conshohocken Steelers finished the regular season on a high note beating visiting Norristown 29-6, posting the best record in the teams five year history finishing with seven victories and one defeat at the hands of Liberty Belle, 14-12.
The Steelers took an 8-6 lead on a reverse halfback pass to Larry Livers. Quarterback Jason Borusiewicz handed off to Jamal Adams going left, who handed off to Barry Doganeri coming thru the backfield, and Doganeri pulled up and hit Livers from 35 yards out. Livers beat two would be tacklers on a spin move and danced into the end zone.
The Steelers tacked on two points when John Leszczynski pulled up on a fake kick and hit Henry Racich in the corner of the end zone. That’s all the Steelers needed for the victory.

Poor Trolley Service
The service on the local trolley line between this place and Harmonville is very unsatisfactory, not only to a few, but many of its passengers. The service during the day seems satisfactory but after nine o’clock in the evening the car is taken to the car barn for the remainder of the night, and the passengers who may be aboard of the Conshohocken car for this place or Chestnut Hill are compelled to leg it. The reason for this act is unknown to the company’s patrons who are putting up a big howl.

Kennedy Closing Rumor Denied
Principal William McCusker described as “all speculation” a story in the Philadelphia Inquirer newspaper last week naming Archbishop Kennedy High School and nearby Bishop Kenrick High School as schools in danger of being closed by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. “I’m optimistic” about Kennedy’s future, said the principal, who had worked at the Archdiocese office in center city for the past two years. An official response to the article was issued last Thursday by the Archdiocese Communications Office. It stated that the article “is completely based on rumors.”
