This is part of our People of Conshohocken series…
We have close to 10,000 people in our borough, add in the residents of West Conshohocken, Plymouth, Whitemarsh and Lafayette Hill and we have a large community. Some of the people that will be featured will be well known in the area, some will have just moved into the area, some will have been here their entire lives. Some of them may be business owners, or people who walk around the area, or maybe work in the area. Maybe you know them, maybe you don’t. Everyone has a story. While we are only going to take their picture and maybe ask a question or two, we want to share these stories with you.

So, when I first thought about doing these People of Conshohocken stories, one of the people I thought about was Jeff at 7-11. I’m sure most of us have seen him over the years but I’m also sure most of us don’t even know his last name…… Weber, Jeff Webber is our People of Conshohocken today. Now, I have to admit, I knew his last name was Weber at one point, but over the years it has slipped my mind, so when I caught up to him last night, I didn’t actually ask his last name, I have known him for years and years… and yet this morning I had to text a couple of friends and made sure I got it right before writing this.
So, when I caught up to Jeff my first question was how long have you been at 7-11…… his answer SINCE 1991! Holy crap, it feels like he’s been there forever because he has been there forever. When I asked him about his favorite Conshohocken memory, he may have had the best answer I have heard yet….. I’m still making them. I loved hearing that. I know Jeff loves music and I am sure some of his memories involve music or concerts, maybe even the Flyers… I wish I had another couple minutes with him last night, but he had to get to work.. I would have asked him about the craziest thing he has ever seen at 7-11, I’m sure late at night some crazy stuff has went down at that 7-11.
Recently I introduced a friend to another friend and I told her that he had met his wife at 7-11…. she told a story of the night one of our good friends went out with her eventual husband and that night also included a trip to 7-11. I’m sure there are other great stories at that 7-11 and with Jeff working the late night shift I’m sure he has seen it all.
Jeff, thanks for chatting with me last night. I am still shaking my head that you have been there since 1991. Sorry I don’t get there as much late at night anymore, I always enjoyed chatting with you and saying hi.
