This is part of our People of Conshohocken series…
We have close to 10,000 people in our borough, add in the residents of West Conshohocken, Plymouth, Whitemarsh and Lafayette Hill and we have a large community. Some of the people that will be featured will be well known in the area, some will have just moved into the area, some will have been here their entire lives. Some of them may be business owners, or people who walk around the area, or maybe work in the area. Maybe you know them, maybe you don’t. Everyone has a story. While we are only going to take their picture and maybe ask a question or two, we want to share these stories with you.

When I saw Clint today enjoying his godfather hoagie or something from Deli on 4th I said hi and I had to ask him if I’ve ever interviewed him for our People of Conshohocken segment. He said no so I ran into my shop, grabbed a pen and paper and sat down across from him. Before I get into what we talked about, I have to tell you a couple things about Clint. About a week ago I posted a live video from the Colonial Neighborhood Council. I was showing the place, showing what was needed. I think before I was finished the live video, Clint was on his way to Weis markets to buy stuff for the CNC. He walked, walked up to Weis and bought stuff for our neighbors who might need a little help right now. Thank you Clint.
So, when it comes to our People of Conshohocken segment that we occasionally do here at Conshystuff, I normally ask some simple questions and share the answers with you. Here it goes:
So Clint, what do you like most about Conshy?
The eateries, Deli on 4th, Lenny’s, ‘feine, Tony and Joe’s, if the Eagles are on I’m at the Boathouse cheering them on. If I go to the Great American Pub I get a chicken sandwich. I got to the rooftop garden recently and loved it there.
If you didn’t know Clint is the voice of the Conshohocken Golden Bears. When I asked when he got involved with the Bears…..
I got involved with the Conshohocken Golden Bears in 1992, I played under Rob Henry, Doc and Steve Ondik. I played 2 years and then from about 1994-1999 I just started helping out where I could and in the early 2000’s I called a game or two as a fill in and I took over the job in 2002 and since then I have been the voice of the Conshohocken Golden Bears.
Clint, you do a hell of a job as the announcer there. You spend a lot of time here in Conshy, what else do you love about the borough and our community?
The way the community comes together in time of need. Like right now with the situation at Washies. People want to help if the Washies need help. The Washies have been there for us for years, it’s great seeing people want to help them. I love the Conshystuff Food Drive. I love helping out the CNC and our neighbors who need a little help. I love the community events and people coming together for the traditional events like the Soap Box Derby on the 4th of July. And I love the fireworks on the 3rd of July.
So, Clint… I see you cutting grass in the summer… what else keeps you busy?
Well, I keep busy cutting grass in the summer, and in the fall I have a special piece of equipment that helps me collect leaves at some peoples property. I will trim hedges and shovel snow as well.
What’s your all time favorite memory in Conshohocken?
The Saint Cosmas and Damien Feast every September. I’m thankful that the building is still there and very thankful for the Coptic Church who has maintained it.
You’re involved with Saint Matthews currently, right? What do you do there?
I sing in the choir and am an usher on Sunday’s. I love it there and the people of the church.
Clint, thanks buddy…. Thanks for taking the time to talk today, thanks for looking out for the borough when you go shopping at Weis or as you walk around the borough on a regular basis.
