This is part of our People of Conshohocken series…
We have close to 10,000 people in our borough, add in the residents of West Conshohocken, Plymouth and Whitemarsh and we have a large community. Some of the people that will be featured will be well known in the area, some will have just moved into the area, some will have been here their entire lives. Some of them may be business owners, or people who walk around the area, or maybe work in the area. Maybe you know them, maybe you don’t. Everyone has a story. While we are only going to take their picture and maybe ask a question or two, we want to share these stories with you.

If you follow our Facebook page you already know I’m a fan of Scoops Ice Cream and Water Ice on Fayette Street. If you are like me you’ve been going there for years. If you are like me, you’ve been waited on more than a few times by one of the most pleasant people in Conshohocken, Bally Radatti. No matter when I go, Bally seems to be there smiling and pleasant. On my most recent visit, I brought my little girl, I thought we could share a gelato, so I asked for extra vanilla ice cream on top. It did not go over well. My little girl is amazing, and rarely is she upset, but for some reason, she really wanted a pretty ice cream. Pretty ice cream….. pretty ice cream, by the time I knew what she was getting at, Bally had started to make a kid size vanilla ice cream in a cup with rainbow sprinkles. A pretty ice cream. That did the trick.
Bally has been there 9 years now. I’m not exactly sure how old she is, all I know is she is awesome. Even when I’m just walking by or going to the Chinese Restaurant next door, she always has a smile on her face and a friendly word or two. Thanks for being our People of Conshohocken, Bally. If you are at Scoops over the holiday weekend and you see Bally and you aren’t sure what to get… you can give our favorite flavor a try, it is the blended ice cream with toppings…. the Conshystuff Fluff I call it, peanut butter, marshmallow and ice cream. I get it with the half chocolate half vanilla and now I’m getting hungry…..
