I’m sure someone else has thought about this idea, or maybe they were just mad as they were circling a block looking for a parking spot… it seems more and more delivery vehicles are double parked on Fayette Street. We’re used to UPS and Fed Ex… but all the restaurant delivery services…. I’m not an expert and I’m not trying to hurt anyones business. But… what if there was some designated parking areas for these services. It seems to me that places that have their own delivery vehicles tend to find actual parking spots while some of the fast delivery options that are only picking up for someone else at a restaurant tend to double park. If it’s just me…. I’ll let it go.

My idea would be some designated parking areas in a couple places around the borough for the delivery service type vehicles. This way, patrons and residents can park a little easier on Fayette and around the neighborhoods. If there was a side lot somewhere that could be used on upper Fayette and lower Fayette that may help alleviate some of the parking issues.

Just an idea… maybe someone who can do something about it will see it and take it into consideration. Anyone else have a better idea? Tell us in the Facebook coments.
