Ice Skating at Sutcliffe Park back in the day….

If you remember when the borough was cool and the firemen would hose down the basketball court at Sutcliffe Park that means you are probably at least 60 years old at this point. For a number of years in the early 1960’s Conshohocken would spray down the courts and have ice skating. Leeland Park also had this done around the same time.

You are going back to a period in time when more kids owned ice skates. As neat as this was.. it may not be as practical in this era. I do have some ideas about bringing this and a few other things back at Sutcliffe Park when the park celebrates its 100 year anniversary in about 10 years. One day in the near future I’ll share those ideas with you.
