Fireworks!

It seems every time we walk down Fayette Street someone is asking us about the fireworks… Yes, they are happening, no we don’t know about what the weather is going to do…. Here is the announcement from the borough:
The Borough of Conshohocken will host the Fireworks Display on Saturday, July 3, 2021. Fireworks begin at dusk approximately around 9:30pm. It was of utmost importance that the Borough hold the fireworks event this year regardless of COVID-19, and therefore, revised event plans were formalized in early 2021 as required by the Fireworks vendor. Therefore, this year’s fireworks display will be larger than previous years so that fireworks may be visible from as many vantage points as possible throughout the Borough. Due to this larger size in fireworks, a wider safety perimeter surrounding the discharge zone is required. As such, Sutcliffe Park and surrounding areas will be closed to the public during the event. Tests of the larger Fireworks display were completed to ensure that the majority of the Borough could still view and enjoy the fireworks from outside Sutcliffe Park.
We invite you to enjoy this year’s fireworks display and hope that you and your loved ones have a happy and safe summer. Please direct all event inquires to the Borough of Conshohocken at 610-828-1092.
The borough laid out the reasons for the park closure and I’m in total agreement with the logic behind the decision to keep the park closed this year. Some of the concerts I was looking forward to this summer had to cancel or change plans months in advance. I look forward to this years fireworks from a distance, and look forward to 2022 when I can see some of my friends and neighbors at Sutcliffe Park.
