Conshystuff Food Drive – Kickoff Party and More Details

While today is the official Kick Off Party to the Conshystuff Food Drive, we’ve actually been collecting food for a few weeks now. We have a long way to go. Can you help us out? If you can’t get to the party from 4-7 behind the Colonial Neighborhood Council we have a few spots in the community that are collection points.

We have been having this food drive for a few years now and each year it has grown more and more. Honestly, I am a little worried about this year. The weather has been nice, and while most of us reading this haven’t thought about turning the heat on while it’s a little chilly outside, some of the people in need of this food just can’t turn the heat on and put food on the table. It’s a sad situation to be in.
Let’s focus on tonight for a minute…. Bryn Mawr Trust is bringing an ice cream truck, our friend Lysa is doing face painting. She is coming from Pottstown because she has some clients who told her about the food drive and she was looking for a way to help out. Face Painting is one of the things she can do, but she specializes in meal prep if you are in need of someone… There will be cotton candy there, hot dogs, cake, pretzels, beverages… J.P. Hussey is the man, he and The Hussey Team Mortgage Advisors go above and beyond every year setting this up. Right now he is out shopping for everything. Not only for the food for the party goers, but food for the Colonial Neighborhood Council as well.
So, we hope to see you this afternoon into the evening at 107 East 4th Ave where the Colonial Neighborhood Council is located. Bring food, bring friends, have them bring food and friends….
