So, you might be wondering why you’re reading about the Conshohocken Adult Prom a few days after it took place, well, it was such a great night out, I honestly needed the break! It’s taken me a few days to get back to normal, the dancing, the drinking, all the food… it was so much fun. The Great American Pub was such an amazing place to hold this event. The Valley Top Ballroom is incredible. The staff was amazing, the bartenders and servers blended right in with the prom goers and the chef and kitchen staff made sure that everyone was happy, they even brought out mini cheesesteaks towards the end of the night for people to grab a bite for the road or a late night snack at the prom. (they even brought out a chocolate fountain)
Something that may have gotten missed during the course of the night, was this event raised $4,000.00 for charity. The 3 Conshohocken charities and organizations benefitting from this amazing event were The Conshohocken Free Library, the Colonial Neighborhood Council and the Conshohocken Free Christmas Dinner.
Ticket sales resulted in a sell out, but if you missed it this year, the committee feels we can fit a few more people next year, based on the fact that barely anyone actually sat down all night! There was so much dancing, people taking photos at the photo booth and the backdrop with the Conshohocken Adult Prom sponsors on it including the Great American Pub, George Washington Wood Bed & Breakfast, Bucci Jewelery, Conshy Girls Restaurant Group, Noele Stinson – Realtor, Saulino Law, XTRA Boutique, ScottiWorks and Coll’s Custom Framing.
If you went this year, e-mail photos to Conshyprom@gmail.com. If you want to go next year, of course you can follow Conshystuff on Facebook for updates or the newly launched Facebook page Conshohocken Adult Prom – Conshy Prom. Go check it out and give it a like.
The amazing prom committee consisted of Jon Alba, Barbara Asman, Brian “Butch” Coll, Ashley Gaydos, Tom Gaydos, Anna Gibbard, Liliana Gravagno, Ian McTague, Nick Contos, Erin Saulino, Laura Scotti, Janice Selig and Rich Sottile. If you see them thank them for the great job they did putting this event together.
Video coming soon by Andrew Kibe Productions and photos are being rolled out by Nick Contos. Check the Conshystuff Facebook page as well as the new Conshohocken Adult Prom Page for photos from the evening. Check out Skyline Photography on Facebook for full albums from the photographer Nick Contos.
What did you miss if you didn’t go? Well the PG version includes the band Lucid by Midnight kicking the night off as people entered, grabbed a drink and a delicious appetizer (or three), a red carpet like backdrop banner where professional prom photos were taken, posed pictures not your thing, head to the photo booth by Eventsmith PhotoBooths. DJ AJ Dilworth kept the crowd dancing and the band P-Rents killed it with a great mix of all your favorites from the 80’s and 90’s. More drinking, more dancing and more eating followed….You should really talk to someone who went.
So…. we’ll look for you next year, thanks to everyone who went this year.
