We have found ourselves with a little extra time during this coronavirus quarantine. This butterfly just went up a week ago outside of Scoop’s. It’s kind of a cool piece and we’ve seen a few people taking photos with it while they get their first Scoop’s fix of the season. I’m really proud of my wife Anna who created this while me and the kids were playing around the area and of course eating ice cream from Scoop’s.
If you take a photo with it, please tag #Conshyart on Instagram and Facebook.
If you have walked around Conshohocken, there is some really cool outdoor art already in place. The Instagram page #Conshyart is starting to post some picture around the community featuring outdoor art.
As I’m writing this, a new piece of art to brighten up the community is going on the steps of the Conshohocken Free Library by our friend Liliana Gravagno. She has created some interior murals at the Library and we thought she’d be a great choice to create the new stair art. We’ll post photos on our Facebook page when it’s completed.
Also… we have created some tile mosaics in the past and we’re looking forward to creating another one in the near future.
One more thing….. does anyone have a large exterior wall, in public view that would like a cool piece of artwork, that would definitely have people flocking to it to take photos… let us know please.
Actually, there is one more thing. The Conshohocken Car Show and Art show is being moved to a virtual platform this year. Artists are being charged $25 to display their work through a local website. Here are the details, however, I don’t see a website to sign up at, or where everything is going to be displayed and I am not sure where to watch the bands play that day.
Due to the Covid 19 issues , this event wil be presented in virtual reality ! Go to : [email protected]
for further information
Art Vendors can register online for displays, All proceeds to benifit
Conshohocken Art League & Destination Conshohocken.
11 hours of live music streamed !
If you are an artist, and can’t afford the $25 fee. We might be able to help out, we always want to see artists succeed. Please reach out to us if you need help. We hope this event goes well in the new platform. There is some great music through Bob Cahill who has the Bobcast, check them out and give his podcast a listen.
