Conshohocken Baseball & Softball League Batting Cage Update – How You Can Help!

Youth baseball has officially been played in Conshohocken since 1955. Since then there have been a few changes. The first few seasons were played at the Conshohocken Bocce Club or more commonly known as the CBC Club. As it moved to Sutcliffe Park, more divisions and age groups were added. Before softball grew in popularity, girls were invited to join the boys teams as time went on. Starting in a month or so, boys and girls will be able to practice their hitting more in the batting cages being built by the Conshohocken Baseball & Softball League.
By now you may of heard of the batting cage project. It has been supported by many of our local businesses in the community. Some large donations from folks like the Conicelli family, Beanie Bounce Party rentals and more have helped the league move forward with the building. There has been a very generous family involved from early on in the project and the league wouldn’t be where it is with this project without them, thank you (you know who you are) Now, we need to get to the finish line. Here’s how you can help.
The league launched a raffle with a number of local businesses and individuals contributing some amazing prizes. You raffle can win you one of these prizes. A weekend stay at a beach house. A signed Jason Kelce framed art print. A framed autographed John Kruk jersey. A 2008 Budweiser Phillies mirror. 2 different Mega Conshohocken baskets (if you are a business owner and would like to contribute, reach out, we’d love to include your item or gift card). There are two different winners of Victus Pencil bats and batting gloves. One lucky winner will have Kona Ice for a private event for 20 guests for a half hour. A Conshohocken Wellness basket. Have you wanted to help cut a ribbon? How about helping cut the ribbon when the batting cages open up, that is one of the prizes as well as a paver with you and your family name on it. I’ll get back to the pavers in a minute. Did I mention there is a second weekend getaway to a condo in Ocean City NJ? Both weekend stays will be arranged with the winner and the owner/manager of the property in question.
Here is the link to buy the raffle tickets. Once you buy, share the special link they send you for more entries.

Pavers…. they are taking orders for about another month at this point. With all the construction at Sutcliffe Park, the paver walkway isn’t set to start until more work is done in Sutcliffe Park, but don’t miss out.
Here is the link to buy your paver and support the youth of our community.

The Conshohocken Baseball & Softball League has a fun shirt coming out that will also support the batting cage. We’ll make sure we release the details on our Facebook page when they are finalized. With the Savannah Bananas coming to town in September, it would be cool to rock one of these shirts.
Thank you for reading, I hope you can support the Conshohocken Baseball & Softball League. With your help, the league could have this up and running by mid September. They are close, they just need a little more to finish it. Thank you.
For those of you who don’t know, my name is Brian Coll. I am a volunteer with the league, but even if I wasn’t, I would be writing this. My shop also helped provide some of the cool raffle items and we are proud to support local youth leagues in our community. My children are involved in youth sports and other activities in the community and I am damn proud to be helping with this project in the league I grew up playing in. There are a number of great volunteers in the league and coaches. Just tonight, I was with ten other dads at the fields helping out. 4 or 5 of us grew up here and are happy to give back to the league that shaped us, The other parents with us, are fantastic people and are happy to be building something where they are raising their families.
