Conshohocken Baseball & Softball – How You Can Help Building Batting Cages

Conshohocken Baseball & Softball opens their season tomorrow. The players, coaches, board members and family members parade from the Fellowship House at 6th and Harry to Sutcliffe Park to kick off the season. West 9th ave is a great place to cheer these folks on.
This season about 300 kids will take the field for Conshohocken. This number is up from recent years. To go along with the higher numbers of kids playing here in Conshohocken a few volunteers have started working on a batting cage/pavilion. This will help kids leading up to the season, and honestly on evenings like last night where an outdoor practice got cut short due to weather, this will give the teams the ability to have a modified practice.
In full transparency, I am an assistant coach in the pitching machine division. My little guy loves playing baseball and we are loving the league. I have been working on the batting cage project with some board members and another coach at our level named Phil Doherty. Phil has his son in the league and our kids have been playing against each other for a few years now. Phil and his family are really good people and we’ve been working together on this project.
Now, we bring this project to you. In addition to the batting cage/pavilion area, there is going to be a section with pavers. The league is looking to have folks donate and have a paver engraved with your family name, maybe a child who is currently playing in the league, or maybe you played in the league at some point and want to immortalize your team. (I might submit one for the 85 Hawks!) Now of course these pavers will help with the cost of the building, but we would also love some larger sponsors. If you have a business and want to give back to the youth in our community, reach out to us. If you would like to be acknowledged in some way, we can get creative with a sponsorship.
4″ x 8″ pavers are going to cost you $100.
8″ x 8″ pavers are going to be $200.
12″ x 12′ Pavers are going to be $350.
Please use this form to help you create your paver. Please note you can add a select clip art for an additional fee or even receive your own mini replica brick.
On behalf of Conshohocken Baseball & Softball, I thank you in advance.
