We have close to 10,000 people in our borough, add in the residents of West Conshohocken, Plymouth, Whitemarsh and Lafayette Hill and we have a large community. Some of the people that will be featured will be well known in the area, some will have just moved into the area, some will have been here their entire lives. Some of them may be business owners, or people who walk around the area, or maybe work in the area. Maybe you know them, maybe you don’t. Everyone has a story. While we are only going to take their picture and maybe ask a question or two, we want to share these stories with you.

My buddy Bob Kliamovich popped into the shop the other day to talk about the Conshystuff food drive, we got chatting about one thing and then another and at some point, I said, let’s do a People of Conshohocken with you. So, here you go:
I’ll get right to it Bob, what’s your favorite Conshy memory?
After a pause, he said he still thinks it is spring baseball at Sutcliffe Park. Games on every field, something like 6 teams per league and you knew all the opposing players. It was a real joy making the all start team where you got to play with friends who had playing against you for the past few years. It was cool to represent.
What are you up to now?
I’ve had an interest in real estate, when the time was right I went for a license and my first choice was to work with Mike Sroka. Mike and I grew up riding bikes around Conshohocken since like 2nd grade. Mike knows the market, we both know the community. It’s really great working with the local team. I love working with clients and friends. What a time to start in this business. My favorite part is calling the buyers to let them know their bid was accepted, however, I’m really sad when I have to call to let someone know they were outbid in this crazy market.
I’ve seen you at Scoops, what’s your favorite flavor there?
Ha! The Bob K special! It is vanilla soft serve, caramel , whip cream, rainbow jimmies and a cherry on top.
So, it’s jimmies? How far do you think that spreads?
As far as people can spell Conshy with a Y, not an i. (could be my favorite response to this debate)
What do you love about Conshy now?
Some of the development and opportunity for the borough to grow as a whole. I enjoy meeting new people, so many of the new people love Conshy and seeing the pride of long time residents.
Thanks for chatting Bob, Go Phillies, Fly Eagles Fly, Go Flyers, Go Sixers, Go Union!
