In February of 2020 people got together for the first Conshy Adult Prom, it was a great night and then sadly less than a month later events started to get canceled, schools were closed, people lost their jobs, people lost their lives, you know how it went. Here we are almost 2 years later and the prom committee is back with what looks to be a fun night out. The committee kicked around some good ideas and ultimately decided on an 80’s Prom. 80’s fashion is great, fun colorful and there are so many ways to get dressed up for the 80’s Prom. Music!!! We can’t wait to hear what DJ Jammin J comes up with to go along with the awesome 80’s setlist the P-Rents are working on. Take on Me? Billie Jean? Sweet Child O’ Mine! Don’t You Forget About Me…Jessie’s Girl! Walk This Way! You Make My Dreams! You can Call me Al. Push It? Bust a Move… so many great 80’s songs. Anyone going to break dance?
There will be a ton of photo opportunities and maybe some 80’s props like a giant MTV Moonman. Photo Booth and even a green screen!
Tell some friends, let’s help the folks at the Colonial Neighborhood Council and the Conshohocken Free Library as this event benefits both of our hometown organizations.
There will be some fun prizes for categories like biggest hair, best dressed, best dancer, best dressed (couple and individual) and the person who most personified the 80’s spirit.
The committee is looking forward to the event and see a lot of familiar faces as well as some new ones. If you missed the first one, ask the people who went if they had fun…. we heard from so many people that went the first time that can’t wait to do it again. Sadly it was so many peoples last time out before they were locked down due to the Covid pandemic. Now that larger weddings and events are happening we are going off the guidelines at the Great American Pub and will have this event with a smaller number of guests to create extra space for people to feel comfortable.
You can buy tickets in person at Coll’s Custom Framing at $100 a piece with all the proceeds above and beyond the cost of the event going to the local charities or online here at eventbrite (with a small fee going to them)
