Our Daily Bagel – Coming Soon to Conshohocken
12/6/2021

As you may know, our frame shop is at 324 Fayette Street and recently two young ladies came by to introduce themselves and told us they were going to be our neighbors. We were extremely excited for them. I told them about this website Conshystuff and told them when they were ready for us to do a quick story they should come back…. today was that day and they are ready to tell everyone they are opening in January of 2022!
The owners are Alysa Yakeley and Mariele Link and they couldn’t be more excited to be opening a bagel shop here in Conshohocken. Both are former teachers and were joking that being teachers for years prepared them to open a bagel shop. I feel bad, I think Alysa may go over my grammar when she reads this….
As friends they always talked about Conshohocken needing a bagel shop, as business partners when they saw the former Fayette Street Grille location open up and available for rent, they knew what they needed to do. Open the bagel shop that they knew was needed in Conshohocken. Since the summer they have been working towards the goal of opening up this winter.
I asked a few bagel/business related questions like what kind of bagels are you going to offer, and I think they both blurted out these amazing bagels from Kismet bagels. That name rang a bell with me, and they said the bakery is a husband and wife team who have set up in Kengsington and have been on the farmers market circuit and pop up community events for a few years.
I also asked if there was more to the bagel shop, than you know…bagels. They were excited to talk about muffins, coffee cakes, bagel sandwiches and a really good self service coffee area by Rival Brothers Coffee out of Philadelphia. They will also offer flavored spreads and I’m not exactly sure if I can wait until they open to try the pastrami lox.
Both Alysa and Marielle have children in the Colonial School District and are excited to be close to their children. They actually brought up the fact that as parents, the hours of the bagel shop would be good for them to be able to pick up their kids after school and watch any after school activities. They thought there might be some other parents out there that were looking for the same type of schedule and here is Marielle’s e-mail if you are looking for a job… Marielle.Link24@gmail.com
The hours of operation when they open will be 7-2 and they are kicking around some fun ideas for an occasional late night.
Alysa and Marielle, thank you for coming by and sharing this exciting news with me, and now a few other people when they read this. Thank you, best of luck. I think you’ll be seeing me often once you open your door!
