This photo was taken in April of this year, the building still looks great.
This photo is from 1990 and was taken by Bob Martin for the Times Herald. It shows brothers Mark and Michael Mustin who owned the General LaFayette Inn at the time. They were showing off an old letter they found while renovating the building which at the time would have been 258 years old, now the building is 289 years old.
Most recently this building was home to The General, before that it was Barren Hill Brewery & Tavern and before that it was of course The General LaFayette Inn.
We haven’t heard of any plans for a new tenant at this time. The General closed in January of 2020.
