I am so proud of Stephanie, owner of Deli on 4th, she took a big leap when she started dreaming of the Shack in the Back. The name refers to the one time office that she converted into Shack in the Back (in the back of Deli on 4th at 4th and Forrest Street).

I was so happy when I got to walk into her dream this afternoon as part of the soft opening weekend in advance of the Grand Opening on Monday January 4th.

If you want to check them out tomorrow as part of the soft opening while they work out some kinks (I didn’t see any kinks today) the hours are 8am – 3pm. Come Monday, the Shack in the Back will be open from 7 am until 6 pm during there week and from 8am til 3 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

So, yes they have smoothies, they also have Acai bowls (my first time having one today and I enjoyed it) they also have espresso’s on the menu as well as some grab and go items.

The place looks great, it had me relaxing a little today…inside it didn’t feel like the cold January day that it was, I was surrounded by fruits and decor that took me somewhere south!
