I don’t use the term honored lightly. I felt very honored that the great people at the Historic St. John AME Church thought enough of the work that me and my family does in the community and has always done in the community. While my family has been here in Conshohocken for over 40 years and have been volunteering in the community for just about as long, it is nothing in comparison to the years of service that St. John AME Church and its people have been here doing good things. So, when Sister Edna Brock invited me and y family to the event taking place today we were honored. My dad went more towards the traditional lunch time and saw the church serving some other dedicated community personal while I went a little latter and had a more relaxed time with my own children. This was such a treat. Once again, I can’t thank you enough.

My kids loved it, and ate so much good REAL food that when the cake came out they barely touched it, which is saying something for my little ones. Daddy on the other hand helped clean up the cake they left behind on their plates.

Thank you to everyone at St. John AME Church. While we were there we had some wonderful conversations with The Reverend Edith j Patterson-Payne, Sister Stacy Hudgen as well as Sister Edna Brock. The other volunteers were terrific and I really hope you include us next year if you do it again.
