Ambucs and Love Conshy Restaurant Rally – May 20th. What a FUN TIME.
by Brian Coll
As someone who has been to this event over the years I can not tell you how fun it is, words don’t do it justice. This event was the brainchild of Vince and Debbie Flocco with good friend Tom Wcislo. It feels like it’s been around forever, but is still a fresh event. Last year local business group Love Conshy got involved as well. The AMBUCS use the money raised from this event for a number of local programs including Special Olympics.
This year, tickets are limited to the first 350 people I believe. So, you lucky 350 people get to wander by foot or bus all over Conshohocken and hit up all of these participating restaurants. The event kicks off at the GREAT AMERICAN PUB. You can still buy tickets for $60.00 each at Flocco’s. If this is the first time you are hearing about this….. each place offers up a dish, or a specialty they have. Feel free to eat your way through Conshohocken. All of the places with bars in them, you can buy a drink or 2…. the traditional BYOB’s, it’s a secret….. so don’t tell, but some of them offer you something to drink….. Let’s just say that one of your fellow event goers happens to leave a bottle of wine behind at each stop, or maybe a specialty drink. Go tell some friends you want to go, buy your tickets and we’ll see you on Fayette Street that day.
