Rare Video of Battery C of Conshohocken World War 2

by Jack Coll

Here is rare Video of Battery C parading down to the train station during World War 2. This originally appeared in the movie A Century of Football, Conshohocken, PA. By Jack Coll

This video, is unique and rare. For one, some if not all of it is in color, rare for 1941. Second, if you watch it more than once your eyes may go to the background and you will see some of old Conshohocken as the soldiers and band walk by. If you have never heard of Battery C, well the Conshohockens have always been a proud military community. And during World War 2 one out of every eight people who lived here served in the military. When you consider children, elderly, ladies 1 out of every 8 is a very high percentage.
