Conshohocken Junior Women's Club Scholarship
Conshohocken Junior Women’s Club Scholarship
by Brian Coll
I was talking to one of the Co – Presidents of the Junior Women’s Club, Amy Reed and she was telling me all about some of the things the Junior Women’s Club is doing in our community. They recently held a hoagie day (if you want to get on the list for next time send them an e-mail, best deal in town). Because of the groups hard work they were looking to reward a member of the community. Here is what they are doing, a scholarship.
The Jr. Women’s Club of Conshohocken will provide a $250 scholarship to Montgomery County Community College to a woman returning to school. To qualify you must: – Live in Conshohocken – Plan to attend MCCC – Submit a paragraph telling us a little bit about yourself. Ex: what you are going back to school for, how this scholarship can help, etc. – Please leave a number where we can reach you. Please submit no later than March 1st to JrWmsClub@gmail.com If you are selected, you will be notified and the scholarship will be presented Tuesday, April 9th at 7:00pm, at our Girl of the Year Award Ceremony at Conshohocken United Methodist Church (Jillian’s Cafe). 20 W. 6th Avenue, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
At the event in April, if you would like to attend they will be collecting food for the Colonial Neighborhood Council and will have a guest speaker that evening.
Amy, I wish you and Co – President Carolyn Brescia the best of luck. The Junior Women’s Club has been a great organization and we are lucky to have it here in Conshohocken.
