Con-Marsh 12U Baseball Team – Champions

The Con-Marsh 12U baseball team was created to teach the players about the game at the next level. Members of the team were selected from the Conshy and Whitemarsh areas. The idea was to play in a few scrimmage games and then enter into 2 tournaments this Summer. The boys listened, learned and played great. The hard work and dedication payed off as they won the Championships in both of the tournaments played in Montgomery Little League Complex and Interboro. The team will stay together, along with a few additions, for the upcoming Fall season to continue to work on their craft.
The above came from John DeBrigida one of the coaches.
This part is from me (Brian Coll). As someone who has been out of the Little League circles for some time now, I haven’t played little league baseball in a number of years (cough, cough)…. and my children aren’t old enough yet to step onto the field, but they do run the bases with me after softball… I think it’s great that this team was formed. Rules have changed over the years and the boundaries have changed as to where you can live in order to play for certain local little leagues. There is more mixing of the youth of the area and it helps form friendship for school and can bond a team as they get older and play together again in high school. Teams like this get a little extra instruction and can have a little fun together during the longer season.
Good luck in the fall boys.
