Beer 101 at the Boathouse November 12th
Every time I think about this event I think WIN WIN!!! First win, BEER, second win, 100% of the proceeds goes towards the 9/11 Memorial Monument. The Boathouse has created an event with Kevin from Morethanthecurve.com.
Beer 101…..at the Boathouse November 12th at 7:30. $30.00 in advance, $35.00 at the door. A brew master will be on hand to take your taste buds through 8-9 samples of beer, you’ll find out the difference of an IPA (India Pale Ale) versus a Natty Light…. and other more advance types of beers. Appetizers will be paired with different types of beers. In addition to the samples, you’ll get your choice of draft beers at the end of the event. Did I mention that 100% of the admission goes to the September 11th Memorial Monument that the Washington Fire Company and the Mayor’s Special Event Committee has been working on? That’s just one more reason to go to this event. Meet some neighbors, drink some beer, learn more about the different styles of beer. I also heard there is a 6 pack sampler at the end of the night and a six pack cooler to each person who signs up.
Even if you can’t make this event, the Boathouse is a great place to try a new beer as they always have a great variety of beers on tap. The Wing it Wednesday can’t be beat with a pitcher of beer, gets you a free order of wings. And long before the term sports bar was popular, the Boathouse has always had a ton of TV’s with all sports, all the time.
