Ambucs Restaurant Rally Wrap Up - Winner of the Conshy Cup
Ambucs Restaurant Rally Wrap Up – Winner of the Conshy Cup
by Brian Coll
What a great day. The Conshohocken Ambucs held their annual Restaurant Rally on Sunday. The weather was great, the restaurants were even better. Before I go any further. The participating restaurants deserve a ton of recognition. The Great American Pub held the check in. Everyone starts there, gets their bag, the list of restaurants participating and the pass along with the bus route.
In no particular order, thank you to all of the restaurants that took part in this wonderful event. These restaurants all come together, donate their food, donate their time, and help make the Ambucs programing for the year go. The Ambucs help out with many things around Conshohocken and on a larger level the Special Olympics.
The Great American Pub
Fayette Street Grille
Lucky Dog Saloon and Gastropub
Grove Café (New formerly Tradestone)
Tony & Joe’s Pizza
Deli on 4th
George Washington Wood Bed & Breakfast
Brunch – Everyday
Edwards Freeman Nut Company
Conshohocken Brewing Company
Guppy’s Good Times
Now we need to tell you about the event….. Start your day at the Pub, grab your bags and head to your starting restaurant, from there if you spend about 15 – 20 minutes at each place you can walk or bus around the borough and hit all 20 something restaurants. Wow, the food and drinks were amazing. From the cheesesteak bisque at the Fayette Street Grille to the almond cake at the George Washington Wood Bed & Breakfast… did you try the churro French Toast at Brunch? Fried pickles at Deli on 4th? I could go on… but you’ll have to try it next year.
We just found out that the winner of this years Conshy Cup (best restaurant of the rally) goes to Chiang Mai who put out a spread of assorted Thai Specialties including Pad Thai noodles, Evil Jungle Veggies, Fried Banana and more…. It was truly awesome. Congratulations Chiang Mai
